Waxed leaves

I have a beautiful Acer in my garden and at this time of year it turns the most incredible colours.  It hasn't fully coloured up yet but i wanted to see how long i could keep the leaves if I dipped them into floor wax. Then of course I decided to try dipping Chinese lantern seed heads in the floor wax. It will be interesting to see if they last
