Needle punch brooch

I am enjoying using my punch needles. I used an offcut from an old curtain as the fabric base to create this pretty brooch.

And paper from used envelopes. Open up that beer can and remove the widget. They are a fabulous crafting resource. You can also use the ball from a deodorant bottle in exactly the same way

Several years ago I organised a Fairtrade strawberry tea so made a few of these from plates I bought at a jumble sale . The fittings I bought from ebay

How many broken dolls end up in the landfill each year. I used my beading skills to turn a couple of dolls eyes into this unusual necklace. You either love it or hate it :-)

Waste Paper Butterfly rings

It staggers me to see how much paper is wasted in school. Even the smallest scraps can be turned into something pretty if you spend a little time mastering a skill

A Little bit of Bertie

My friend Paul has a pet sheep and when he sheared Bertie he offered me the fleece. I used it make these bags and purses. It is worth asking at your local petting farm to see if they will let you have a fleece. Be warned though, there is a lot of work in preparing the fleece before you can use it.

Fairtrade Bananas

Middlesbrough is a Fairtrade Town. We held a promotional event a few years ago so I made a bracelet from some Fimo and beads. I thought it would be a good way to draw attention to important issues

Artist trading card

These little trading cards are a great way to showcase a particular skill. For this one I beaded a little angel and stuck it to the front of the card.

These little cards are a fantastic way to use up tiny scraps of paper. ATC's are swapped and never sold. A lovely class project and great for those who can't draw. Craft punches cost a few pounds each but are a fantastic investment.
