Whittling and quilting

A twig and a sharp knife are all you need to try your hand at whittling.

And now might be a good time to sort through all your fabric stash (or old cotton dresses and shirts)  You could make a lovely quilt from outgrown clothes that might not be good enough for the charity shops.  Just cut off best bits.  There are plenty of videos on You Tube... One of my favourites is  'The Missouri Star Quilt Company..   Jenny's instructions are so simple and clear that even a novice could make a lovely quilt.  I have spent a couple of hours playing with some of my fabric stash today.
