Thursday crafting

I made some yoghurt the other day but it was a bit thin.  It's great to use in smoothies but I whizzed it together with a bag of frozen mango, popped it in the freezer and now have a large tub of delicious frozen mango yoghurt dessert. Home made yoghurt is milder than the commercial stuff so this tastes like mango ice cream.
I also promised to make something with the ball from the deodorant bottle (the other components of the bottle will be made into something another day) I do wish the last photograph showed how very cute this looks but it will give you an idea of what you could be making... If you have kids and are stuck for something to do with them why not make a farm.  A little word of warning though.  These little animals are a bit fiddly and take a couple of hours to make. I used to make the quilled pieces while I was watching TV and then I had a box filled with ready made pieces.

Today's crafty make

Cut paper strips about two or three millimetres wide

roll the strips into little coils

You might find it easier to use a cocktail stick

The legs are made in exactly the same way but with wider strips

Another component from the deodorant bottle

It makes a great place to put the work n progress while the glue dries

I glued pink strips to two cream strips  for the ears

Start to glue the paper coils over the ball

Glue green strips to cream strips to make the eyes with. Squash them to make them a bit slanty

Hello Kitty...…...The ears and whiskers were the last things to be glued on.. I used a tiny paper heart for the nose..
