Paperback novel

When I was at the WI 'Christmas Crafts Day' at the weekend we were shown how to turn an old paperback novel into a Christmas Tree.  It does look very effective though I would be reluctant to cut up a good book.  This is perfect for those old and faded ones that you can pick up very cheaply at jumble sales. You know the ones I mean? They are usually faded yellow with curled over corners.
