Hens egg maracas

Well yesterday I got around to painting them white.  I mixed acrylic paint with cornflour to make a good strong base.  The cornflour helps to smooth out some of the more lumpy areas.  Then I used one of my paper crafting punches to punch out tissue paper flowers. I glued these on with PVA glue and then gave the whole thing a couple of coats of watered down PVA.  Now bear in mind that these were only a couple of blown hens eggs and some newspaper and give it a try one afternoon.
