I have had the loveliest day crafting today. I started by cutting
one of Tony's old tee shirts into a large ball of Tarn. I wound it into a
skein and dip dyed it in some red dye. I put it to dry over the back of
the garden bench. Then I cut my old WI magazine into rectangles and
made a tub full of paper straws. I joined most of them in pairs to make
them longer. This is such a therapeutic thing to do when you need to
keeps your hand occupied but don't want a project that will take much
concentration. I also put a pile of large pine cones to dry in the sun.
These I will use for a winter project. They need to be totally dry
though otherwise they just turn mouldy.
